Westchester County Airport will not be playing the recently circulated Federal Homeland Security Administration video announcement regarding security line delays. Instead, Westchester County Executive Ken Jenkins has recorded a message that will play throughout the airport.

Marshlands Conservancy in Concept Phase for New Nature Center

Marshlands Conservancy in Rye is a 147-acre protected wildlife sanctuary that welcomes more than 20,000 visitors each year. Westchester County is in the concept phase of a potential renovation to explore ways to better support current levels of programming, exhibits and community events while continuing to protect the Conservancy’s natural and historic resources.

Westchester County Department of Consumer Protection Is Offering Office Hours for Residents and Contractors

The Westchester County Department of Consumer Protection is now offering office hours by appointment to better serve residents and contractors who need help with services provided by the Department. This new offering will allow residents and contractors to schedule an appointment online to meet with staff and receive guidance on a range of services, including contractor license applications and document review.

Westchester County Awarded $3 Million for Zero-Emission Micro Transit Pilot in Peekskill Area

Westchester County has been awarded $3 million in competitive funding through the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) Clean Mobility Program to launch a zero-emission micro transit pilot serving Peekskill and surrounding communities.

Westchester Women’s Summit Highlights Leaders in Westchester County Government

In celebration of Women’s History Month, prominent women in Westchester County government will play leading roles in the sixth annual Westchester Women’s Summit. The summit will take place on Friday, March 13 at the Sonesta Hotel in downtown White Plains.

Rabies Alert: Coyote in Eastchester/Bronxville Area Positive for Rabies

The Westchester County Department of Health is alerting residents that a coyote in the Eastchester/Bronxville area has tested positive for rabies. The animal attacked six dogs and three people on March 9, near Siwanoy Country Club and Twin Lakes Park.
