Westchester County Office for Women Launches Empower Hour
New Webinar Series Highlights Topics That Matter Most to Women
In culmination of Women’s History Month, the Westchester County Office for Women (OFW) is launching its first in a series of “lunch and learn” webinars designed to inspire new ideas, share valuable insights and highlight voices making a difference for Westchester’s women.
Each month, Empower Hour will focus on a different timely topic. The series will debut with “Lifting Up Women Through Mentorship” on Thursday, March 26 from noon to 1 p.m., featuring OFW Acting Director Catherine Borgia and Guest Mentor, Westchester County Department of Probation, Bureau of Criminal Operations Assistant Commissioner Katrina L.W. Mosley. They will talk about the value of mentorship, share personal anecdotes from the perspectives of both being and having a mentor, and provide guidance on how to incorporate mentorship into your life.
Borgia said: “We are very excited to launch Empower Hour, with a discussion about the importance of mentoring -- how it help both the mentor and mentee and builds lasting relationships. Please join us for this first lunchtime conversation about women helping women!”
The webinar and Q & A session will be presented on WebEx and can be easily accessed from your browser. For more information and to register, go to Empower Hour #1.
Empower Hour is presented by the Westchester County Office for Women as part of our commitment to supporting, educating and uplifting women across Westchester County.
