Westchester County Executive Ken Jenkins Statement on Women’s History Month
“Women’s History Month gives us the opportunity to pause and recognize the generations of women whose determination and leadership have shaped our communities. In Westchester, we see the impact of women’s leadership every day. Women are leading businesses, serving in public office, educating our children, and strengthening our neighborhoods. Many are balancing professional responsibilities with caregiving and community service, often without recognition. Their work moves our County forward in both visible and unseen ways.
“My administration remains committed to expanding opportunity, supporting women in leadership roles and ensuring that policies reflect the real needs of working families. When women have access to opportunity, are paid fairly, and are supported in their ambitions, our entire community benefits. So let this Women’s History Month remind us how far we have come and how important it is to keep building a future where every woman and girl in Westchester can reach her full potential.”
