Westchester County Executive Ken Jenkins Statement on Eid Al-Fitr
“Eid al-Fitr marks the end of the holy month of Ramadan and the beginning of a joyful celebration for Muslim families here in Westchester County and around the world. Throughout Ramadan, members of the Muslim community dedicate themselves to prayer, fasting and reflection while embracing the values of compassion, generosity and service to others. This year, as many celebrate Eid during a time when communities in parts of the world continue to face hardship and uncertainty, the spirit of faith, resilience, and hope that defines Ramadan takes on even greater meaning.
"Westchester County is proud to be home to a Muslim community whose traditions, faith and contributions strengthen our County. As our Muslim neighbors gather with family and loved ones, we extend our warmest wishes for a peaceful, joyful and blessed Eid al-Fitr.”
