Crime is Down in Westchester in 2025 Compared to Prior Year

Crime was down in Westchester County in 2025 as compared to the year before, including a 25% drop in violent crime. Overall, total Index Crimes, which includes violent crime and property crime categories, were down 17% in Westchester, according to the New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services.
